Oliver and Megan get married @ Beaulieu Abbey

On Saturday we joined Oliver and Megan for their wedding at Beaulieu Abbey Hampshire on what turned out to be a beautiful late summer day.

We started our day with Helen at the Limewood Hotel in Beauleiu for some lovely preperation shots with the girls before heading back to the Montague Arms in Beaulieu to meet Oliver and the boys.

We then headed into a beautiful Abbey service and a few photos outside before we left for the short drive to Olivers parents house in Dock Lane where the reception took place.

The 250 guests were well looked after by our good friends at Red Herring, Sue and I had a great time talking photos along with our associate photographer Rich Bailey who also enjoyed his day.

The guests laughed and danced well into the evening to the amazing band 29 fingers 🙂

Rupert and Sarah at Northcote House Ascot

On Sunday we joined Rupert and Sarah for there beautiful wedding at Northcote House in Ascot on what turned out to be a beautiful sunny Sunday.   We started our day with sarah at home and after a couple of fun hours with the girls we headed off to see Rupert and  his best man at the bar.

We then headed into an amazing ceremony in what can only be described as a stunning location and then onto the patio for drinks and nibbles.  we did a few family groups and then headed off to the lake for photos in our golf buggies and then back to the amazing Northcote House for some indoor portraits before heading into a lovely beef dinner.

After dinner we had some Vodka Jelly shots and a jelly cake and then some dancing,

We met Rupert and Sarah simply by chance when Sue and I were photographing a wedding at Rhinefield House last year on the day of their engagement and I offered to take a snap or 2 of them 🙂

Thanks guys for looking after us

God bless and goodnight pop

Its with a heavy but relieved heart that I have to tell you all that my dearest dad past away on Tuesday evening after a short battle with Pancreatic Cancer, back in April this year my dad was diagnosed with cancer and we were told that he only had a few weeks to live,   we did what most families would do, we fell apart!  but Dad soon sorted us out and told us that he wanted to spend as much time as a family as we could,

So, within days the family BBQ’s had started,  the 4 children,  Grahame, Me, Scott and Nikki and our families spent the whole summer with pop, somebody was with him most days and every day was a blessing,  we played footie and watched it too, god I bloody hate football 🙂  we walked and talked, we shopped at the garden centres which he loved we just had a blast and personally I have NO REGRETS  and could not have wished for a better summer with my dear dad.

A few weeks after being diagnosed my sister got married which was just the most amazing day, I wont go on about that again but please take 5 mins to read about it here if you wish.

All in all I am blessed with some amazing memories of my dad, I am pleased and very proud to say that so does Sue and our Children Andrew and Kayleigh,  Sue has been so very close to pop for the past 30 years and Andy and Kaylop have loved pop since there birth and right up until this day he has been a significant person in their lives.

I would like to thank my Brothers and sister for looking after pop whilst Sue and I were in New York,  the staff at the Countess Mountbatten hospice and the Macmillan nurses for there undivided love and care towards my pop,  my thousands of friends from all around the globe for there daily love and support, my good friend Jo for her constant love, I love you so much Jo,  My wife Sue,  words cant express what you mean to me or what you meant to pop,  My life simply would not have been the same without you to share it with, My children whom I also love dearly and have been amazing, and everybody else for their love and support towards me and my family.

But mostly, much more than anything……..I want to thank you Dad for holding on for me for 5 long painful horrible days until I got home from New York to say goodbye and hold your hand, thats the best thing in this world that anyone could ever ask for and thank you also for slipping off later that night

I love you pop,  we all love you,  I know your in a better place now and you know how much you will be missed but also how much love you have here from us all,  yesterday Graham summed you up,  “You had an infectious smile”   I hope to god that I inherited that

For anyone interested the funeral service will be held at Stoneham crematorium on Thursday 23rd Sept 12:30   My dad loved his garden so if you would like to send flowers please contact Natalie at Flowers by Design,  she did Nikki’s wedding flowers and Pop would appreciate that a lot  Website or  07788 483452

Good night and God bless you Pop x
