Congratulations Phil and Kerry

About a month ago I had a call from Kerry asking to book in a bump shoot, we offered a few dates and Kerry and Phil came along for an amazing shoot one Friday,  Kerry and Phil were expecting twins, a boy and a girl.

We had the most amazing shoot and here are a couple of my favourite shots, thank you so much guys for letting us share these intimate and amazing photos.  Well one week on from the shoot we called Kerry to say that her photo had arrived and Phil said that Kerry had given birth to 2 amazing little bundles, Yesterday we got to meet Noah and Florence, OMG they are amazing, Sue held Noah for like an hour and I had tiny little precious Florence and it was an amazing experience, I actually did get very emotional, such an amazing experience holding such a tiny little baby.

Sue and I hope to photograph Noah and Florence very soon but for now Mummy and Daddy are quite busy 😉

Our love goes out to the Booker family and we cant wait to see you all again soon.

Jules and Sue X

Rich and Nikki get married @ the Tythe Barn

On Thursday we joined Rich and Nikki for their wedding at the Tythe barn in Ditcham Nr Petersfield,  We have worked with Nikki many times before because she used to model for us so we were both extra excited about this wedding, well we started our day with Nikki and the girls at her flat in Whitchurch for a couple of hours prep including lots of detail shots of shoes and rings “of course” and some fun with the girls. We then headed off for the 1 hour trip to the beautiful Tythe Barn, the driving was awful, it was absolutly lashing down with rain and we thought that was it for the day but fortiunatly we spent the day with a mixture of rain, wind and intense sunshine so all in all much better than anticipated.

We did a few shots with the boys which was fun and once the rain stopped did them again 🙂  Are you getting a feel for the day yet ?  hehehe !!!   Nikki arrived looking amazing and the beautiful ceremony begun, we were then led into the gardens for a few photos and bubbles, well lots of Corona beer for the lads and bubbles for the ladies 🙂  although we struggled with the weather, the grass was too wet for photos and we had to avoid puddles on the path, I am pleased to say that we managed the whole drinks reception outside including some great portraits by the pond and of course on the tractor, did I mention Rich and Nikki were a lot of fun 🙂

We were then called into dinner, and O boy the food was amazing, all served up  by Tim from  Caper and Berry catering who were amazing on all counts, the food was delicious and the service was 5*  and we hope to see them again soon.

After the speeches and of course dinner we had a couple of hours just chilling in the barn before the music started and the dancing, we also managed to catch the lads and a few ladies outside for cigars which was a lot of fun !

All in all we had an amazing day and that includes the unsettled weather which was much better that forcast.

Thanks Nikki and Rich for a fab day and of course for looking after us, thanks everyone else for being so much fun, it really was a joy to be part of your day.

Joe and Abi get married !

On Saturday we joined Joe and Abi for their amazing wedding day.  As always our day started with Abi and the girls for some prep shots which took place at the beautiful Pennyhill park, we arrived early because this was going to be a very long day and Sue and I did not want to miss anything nor did we want to rush around all day,   So we arrived at around 9:30 and met the girls as well as Paul the hairdresser, we had a lot of fun shooting the details and of course Abi getting ready and at about 10:45 we headed off to Sandhurst where the wedding was taking place.  After arriving at the guardhouse, meeting Joe  and thankfully being shown straight in we started with the boys (and girl)  all looking great in their uniforms, we had Army, Navy and RAF so lots of shiny buttons and medals, we also had  the 2 best men John and Joe.  After the mandatory Port drinking, Abi arrived with her father looking sensational and we went into the beautiful church for an amazing ceremony, I was able to shoot from the front balcony and Sue from the back.

After the ceremony we had the guard of honour followed by a few photos then we were whisked off to Minley Manor which is where the reception was held, again we went straight through the guardhouse which was nice and into the gardens for lots of fun photos, we did a few more family groups, took Abi and Joe for a walk and did lots of portraits with the various family members all of which were so much fun, We then went into the wedding breakfast and eventually speeches, the speeches were outstanding, the first Bestman Joe did a great speech and had everyone laughing then the second bestman appeared wearing a scout uniform, he said, “well everyone else wore there uniforms” lol it was so much fun.

We then took Abi and Joe off for a few more photos and mingled until the first dance which was fun and then we did a few evening shots, Our friend and fellow photographer Clare Harvey who’s wedding we shot at Minley some years ago mentioned to me that Minley looks great at night so Thanks Clare 🙂

Then at about 11pm the fireworks arrived,  this was our longest wedding ever but I would not have missed a minute of it 🙂

First and foremost  a massive THANKS 🙂  to all of the guests, you really were a blast, Thanks to the parents for looking after us and to Joe and Abi for being simply outstanding,  we loved getting to know you guys, working, laughing and crying with you guys, it was awesome!

This wedding had lots of children, each and everyone were so well behaved and polite, such a great bunch.

Our military weddings always go well but Joe Rawlinson  (best man, Navy dude and all round good guy)  you deserve a shout out 🙂  thanks everyone

Jules

Jeremy and Sarah get married @ the Elvetham

On Monday we had a call from Sarah to ask if we were available for her wedding on Friday 🙂  we often get late bookings but not often as late as this, 3 days to prepare for a wedding…….PHEW………The good news was that we were available and that the wedding was at The Elvetham which we work at often and know very well, So On Friday we set off to meet Sarah and Jeremy for the first time on their wedding day, its not a first for us but its very unusual,  We started our day with Sarah at the Elvetham for a few relaxed preparation shots and then we met with Jeremy and his 2 sons who were also the best men, we shot a few “lads” shots and a few scene setters before heading back to Sarah for the final stages of preparation.  Sarah is a big Elvis fan so wore blue suede shoes under her dress 🙂  how cool is that !!!

Soon it was time for the house Manager Andy to walk us into the ceremony for a lovely relaxed service thanks to our amazing registrars, After a lovely ceremony we headed out into the sunshine for a couple of hours of canapes and champers and of course photos, Sue and I did our usual mix of reportage and family groups which was fun and then we took Jeremy and Sarah around the beautiful grounds for some portraits.

We then headed into dinner and after some fun speeches followed by the most amazing cupcakes and then some dancing,  Sue and I left after the dancing started but everyone else was just kicking into gear for what looked to be a real fun night.

Thanks guys for a fun wedding

Jules
