Over the weekend we met with Jez and Emily for their e-shoot, we are shooting their wedding in June at Elmers Court and like all our couples they came for a pre wedding shoot, Sue and I were both looking forward to this shoot simply because these 2 are so much fun and on the day we were not disappointed
We spent an hour chatting about the wedding day and then took a few photos, all of which makes for a smoother wedding day for us all,

Ben and Jo our wedding from Nov 2011 were just featured in brides magazine, we were delighted when the copy dropped through our letterbox as was Jo when we told her, you can read all about their wedding here in our blog post.
Yesterday we took Gareth to Beaulieu for his One-2-One getting to know your camera workshop and we had a great day. We met Gareth and his now wife Genevieve when we shot his wedding back in September 2008. Last year how lovely wife Genevieve called to buy a Workshop Gift Voucher for Gareth which he used yesterday, We started our day with a couple of hours in the studio going over his Canon 450 camera and how to get the best from it, we then headed to Beaulieu which is fast becoming a popular workshop venue for us during the winter months. We had a great few hours at Beaulieu showing Gareth how to shoot in low light and also how to compose and crop in camera.
After Beaulieu we headed into the forest for a few landscapes which was fun and then back to the Studio for an afternoon of editing and shooting Gareth how to best present his photographs.
Here are a few photos from the day, My favourite is the 5th photo that Gareth took of the Merc with the lights behind although it was hard to decide because he took so many great ones.
Last week we had a visit from James, Claire and their 3 lovely or should that be lively boys and it was a whole lot of fun fun fun, We photographed James and Claires wedding back in 2007 and got to know the boys quite well, we had known James for many years, if you take a look at this wedding post from 2007 you will see just how much the boys have grown up
Claire contacted me and explained that she wanted some fun relaxed family photos for their new extension and I am pleased to say these fitted the bill nicely, Sue and I love our studio portraits in southampton and this relaxed style is us to a tee.

Last week we travelled to the lovely Ramsters to meet the equally lovely Andy and Thea for there pre wedding shoot with us. Ramster Hall lies in the Surrey Hills between Chiddingfold and Haslemere and is a much loved family home. Surrounded by parkland and over 25 acres of stunning gardens it is both historic and beautiful and as a wedding venue it cannot be beaten for both the amazing hall and the surrounding grounds. The Long Hall was built in 1604 and is over 100 ft long, it has a polished wooden floor, the ceilings are beamed with paneling down either side. It is a magnificent and impressive room and the fairy lights give it an extra lift. There is a vast inglenook fireplace which gives a wonderful warm welcome in the winter and a perfect summer backdrop.
We wandered around the grounds of Ramsters hall for an hour or so discussing the wedding and the photo opportunities, We met Thea when we shot her brother Ollie and Michelle’s wedding which was at Manor Barn Buriton.
We are both looking forward to their May wedding, Andy is in the Navy and we always have fun with our military weddings.
