On Saturday we joined Nathan and Stephanie for their wedding at the beautiful hampshire wedding venue the East Close Country Hotel which is situated in the heart of the New Forest national park here in Hampshire. The East Close Hotel A spectacular refurbishment of a Grade II listed 18th century mansion, this intimate country hotel combines understated elegance with an irresistibly laid-back comfort – the elegant accommodation evoking the graciousness and grandeur of a bygone age. History also floods into the Conqueror Inn, the adjoining gastro pub named after William the Conqueror who has strong links to the local area. The restaurant is complimented by its extensive bar area, surrounded by leather sofas and a wood burning fire, to make it perfect for socialising with friends or chilling after a fab wedding like Nathan and Steph’s.
We started our day with Steph in the bridal suite for preparations and a few lovely details before heading downstairs to meet with Nathan and the boys who had arrived in a vintage Rolls Royce which was a surprise for him, after a few shots with the lads I headed back to Steph whilst Sue photographed the hundreds of beautiful wedding details and flowers which looked amazing and filled the East Close with an amazing scent perfect for a lovely summer wedding. After another hour or so it was ready to get married and Steph was led to the ceremony room by her very proud Dad and the ceremony commenced, lots of emotion especially from the lovely bridesmaids Steph’s best friends and lots of tears and laughter from the guests too.
Afterwards we were led into the garden by the new Mr & Mrs Meys for a couple of hours in the beautiful sunshine, this is what summer weddings should be like, Pimm’s on the lawn and everyone just chilling and enjoying the afternoon. We shot a few family groups which was fun and then we took Nathan and Steph for some portraits in the meadows and around the grounds which were lovely, Nathan and Steph chose an engagement shoot with us which made the wedding photos that little bit more comfortable for them, After the wedding portraits we did an everybody wedding shot from the upstairs window and confetti photos we were called to speeches which were outside under the large beech tree which was the perfect setting for informal speeches.
We were then called into dinner and the start of a lovely chilled evening. Dinner was served and the Sue and I setup our FuntimeFoto’s wedding photo booth in the lovely ceremony room much as we did at last weeks East Close wedding. After dinner people once again drifted out into the sunshine but it was not long before people started to come into our FuntimeFoto’s wedding booth for some amazing fun photos, We started with our beautiful flower girl Maddison who along with her family we met at Scott and Kim’s Rhinefield house wedding last year. Maddison just kept coming back again and again and again and every time with her cute little smile it was so much fun.
You can see there funtime fotos here
We then did a few evening shots in the bar and the first dance before heading back to finish off our funtime wedding booth.
