On Saturday we joined Matt and Hannah for their beautiful summer country wedding and it was amazing, When we met with them we felt that it was going to be a great day and I can hand on heart say that we were not disappointed 1 bit 🙂 The weather, the venue, the people, all perfect.
We started our day with Hannah at Mum and Dad’s house in Lyndhurst on what turned out to be the hottest day of the year and we started off capturing a few beautiful details of the marque because the wedding reception was also here. We then went along and photographed a few of our usual and very popular prep shots with Hannah and the girls for an hour or so before we had to get on the wedding bus ready to head over to Lymington for the ceremony, we were so pleased that Hannah suggested we go on the bus because it meant we avoided any traffic and parking problems and got a few lovely bus photos too, to be honest this was fairly typical of the whole day, Hannah, Matt and their families were so thoughtful towards everyone including Sue and I that we all felt like we were family, absolutely nothing was too much to ask.
Once we arrived at Lymington it was market day so we all had to walk a half a mile or so to the church which again made for some lovely photos, we were welcomed into the church in the same manner that Mum had welcomed us earlier, we could get used to this 🙂 After a few more shots with the lads Hannah arrived in a lovely Merc and we grabbed a few photos with her and dad before heading on into the church. The ceremony was just perfect, friendly and very personal and Hannah smiled continually like a cheshire cat it was just beautiful to watch. After the service we headed outside to photos in the gardens which were lovely, we spent about 30 minutes a the church even tho we were expecting to stay for an hour but we were all mindful of the blazing heat and people wanting to get back and relax. We headed back to the bus but this time with Hannah so the walking up the high street was both interesting and great to photograph.
Once on the bus we were soon back to Lyndhurst and the party began, the kids all hit the pool starting off with the “hook the ducks” game but after a short while they were all swimming and who could blame them, after a few more relaxed photos it was soon time to head into dinner and although it was warm everybody was ready to sit down, after the dinner it was speech time and they were brilliant and kept everyone entertained. Sue and I then setup our funtime wedding photobooth which because of the heat we decided to setup outside in a lovely shady corner which suited us and all the party goer’s. we spent a couple of hours taking some real fun photos, if you head over to our funtime website using the link below you can see them and download them for free. We took a break from funtime to take Matt and Hannah into the New Forest for some lovely portraits, this was ideal because it was just too hot earlier and the evening light was just right. Then we photographed the first dance and finished with some more funtime before saying our goodbyes and heading home exhausted but very happy after a long hot fun day.
Matt and Hannah you guys were amazing as was everyone at your wedding, we had so much fun (you could probably tell) and thank you so much to everyone for making our day great too and especially Mum and Dad for being so welcoming and hospitable towards us, we really did feel like part of the family.
