Last weekend we joined Adam and Steph for their wedding in the beautiful New Forest at what we thought ewas going to be the last of this years summer but thankfully it just keeps giving.
We started our day with Steph at her parents house for an hour or so of preps and it was soon evident that Steph was both very calm and very easy going about the whole wedding day and was just going to enjoy the day no matter what, Thankfully the weather was gorgeous and everything was going to plan nicely so smiles all around. Steph had chosen so many beautiful details so we had a lot of fun at the house and stayed until Steph stepped into her beautiful wedding dress.
We then headed off to the local church to meet with Adam and Adam, yeah this was going to be fun 🙂 the Adam’s arrived shortly after us and we spent a little while photographing them and the wedding rings before heading in to church to see the vicar who was pretty cool apart from warning me that he had a “blacklist” and that I did not want to be on it, I reminded him that I too had a black list and he certainly did not want to feel my wrath 🙂 we decided together that we both had a job to do and got on with it together very nicely.
A few moments later our beautiful bride arrived in a swanky new Bentley (the Adam’s are both Bentley technicians) and we were soon whisked into church for a quick but nice service during which I am pleased to say the vicar and I remained good friends. Outside for a few photos before Steph and Adam wanted to head to Sway to make the most of the gardens and beautiful weather. As always Sue and I followed the Bentley to the Sway hotel for the reception and we arrived 20 minutes later and after a few photos outside by the car we headed in and we were met by the duty manager and thats when things got very interesting, it was exactly 3:40 and he said to Sue that they are being called in for dinner at 3:45 LOL I proper chuckled but he insisted he was right despite us having the order of service which every guest received saying it was 4:45. once I stopped LOL’ing I asked him why when the guests had just arrived literally 3 or 4 minutes ago was his staff serving canapés if they were coming into dinner in 5 minutes ? hmm someone screwed up but insisting dinner was almost ready and would be spoilt we had no choice but I told him 4pm so we had 15 minutes to photograph everything 🙂 gotta love a challenge. I first apologised to the guests for the fact that I would be hurrying them but they were all amazing and we cracked on with some beautiful family groups and at 4pm into dinner they went. Ironically it took forever to serve !!!!
After dinner (and to be fair the hotel really looked after us well) we had some really fun speeches although Adam’s was pretty emotional just as a grooms speech should be then coffee before Sue and I took Adam and Steph out for a few portraits, needless to say it was dusk and very little light but that added a little fun to the portraits.
We then headed back inside for cake cutting and the first dance before Sue and I headed home.
It was a wonderful day despite the mix up at the hotel and I loved every minute of it, Adam is a running and Cycling friend as well so I apologise Steph about the occasional bike chat although to be fait it was mostly Adam 🙂
Thanks to Steph and Adam for being fun all day long and not letting the timings bother you.
Here are a few photos from this wonderful wedding I hope you enjoy and love them as much as we do and look forward to your comments and seeing you again soon,
