This weekend we had an absolutely perfect day for the beautiful wedding of Laura and Ian’s and they chose the most amazing venues too. We started our day in East Wellow at Laura’s Dads house for some lovely preps with Laura, her mum and the bridesmaids all of whom made it a great morning. The photos were amazing and to be honest we were spoilt for choice, 5 lovely ladies, a gorgeous house and the most perfect wedding details any girl could wish for. And Sunshine! We then headed off to fairly long drive Highcliffe Castle in Dorset which thankfully was traffic free where we had lunch and a coffee in the sunshine whilst waiting for Ian and the Best Man to arrive. Soon after we heard the familiar roar of an Aston Martin and it was a joy to see Ian driving it up the lane towards the castle looking splendid. We grabbed a few shots of the guys and the car and rings etc before heading into see our friends the registrars and sorting our spots for the ceremony, we both know Highcliffe Castle very well so we have a pretty good plan of the day there.
I then headed down the main entrance to see Laura with her Dad and to grab a few shots before she saw the registrars and then her arriving for the ceremony and walking into a tension filled room with once very happy looking albeit nervous groom. The ceremony was short but very sweet and we were soon heading back outside into the sunshine for champagne and after a few relaxed photos Sue and I took Ian and Laura down to the beach. A few shots on the way and then the one they wanted on the outcrop of rocks and the weather was again just perfect so we did what we needed then headed back up to the wedding.
We then watched Laura and Ian drive off in their beautiful Bentley towards the reception at Rhinefield House, another one of our favourites. Sue and I arrived first (damn good driving skills haha) and said hello to our friend David the Toastmaster and then got ready for the arrival shots then out into the gardens for an afternoon of sipping cocktails and eating beautifully crafted canapés. Wd had a few family groups to do and got on with these fuss free and whilst doing so the Best Man managed to clock up 270 selfies, I kid you not 🙂 I am pleased to say he was the most respectful selfie hunter ever and never got in our way once 🙂 top man. We then took Laura and Ian off for some more beautiful portraits all of which will help to make this a beautiful wedding album.
We were called into dinner and straight into speeches which were fun and entertaining and then dinner. Sue and I headed back to our car for lunch and an absolutely wonderful Polish family gave us a punnet of freshly picked strawberries to enjoy which made our day. Back into the room and once they finished dinner which over ran they went straight into the first dance followed by bouquet tossing and more dancing which for Sue and I marked the end to a pretty perfect wedding day with a pretty perfect couple too.
Thanks guys it was awesome X
