I was contacted a couple months ago by a lady called Jo enquiring about our workshops and she went on to say “so many things to learn and so little time” I liked her style 🙂 and we arranged a portrait workshop to help Jo make the most of her camera with her young grandchildren.
Jo brought along her set of brand new studio lights and we unpacked and used them for our shot which was great and a perfect way for Jo to get used to her lights. After chatting through the setup and camera setup and a few practice shots on our ever patient monkey we were ready for action and that action arrived with my Cycling friends Caroline and Rob and their lovely daughter Milla who was an absolute joy to photograph and made the perfect model. We had a lovely hour with Jo snapping away and having fun learning all about her new kit.
We then sat down for editing and Jo took to that so well too mainly because she already uses a Mac with Lightroom and Photoshop.
Next along was our good friend Jules with 4 month old James, this is probably the toughest age to photograph and Jo did well and got some lovely shots so I am so pleased for her. James is a very special little lad and Sue and I love him loads so it was great to get a cuddle.
Again afterwards a few edits then our last shoot was with the “super twins” the Beans, Noah and Florence both awesome little people we have known since they were born some 7 weeks early 🙂
This rounded off a perfect day shooting and Jo learned a lot and got some awesome photos too.
Thank you to our lovely friends for coming along to model, you were all fantastic and disks are on the way to you as we speak.
We will be seeing Jo in 1 months time for our Marwell day which is half price at the moment !
We hope that you enjoy these photographs from this workshop, we are very pleased with them and we feel they show off using your cameras AV and S mode very well and also the various focus and metering modes all of which are interesting to learn about and will take your photography to a new level.
