On Saturday 19th we joined Sam and Rosie for their wedding at Audleys wood in Basingstoke which was our last wedding for the year and what a wedding we chose to finish on. We started our day with Rosie all the way up in Shepparton in Surrey at her family home for the preps and although it was a long way it was well worth it because Rosie was so comfortable at home and we got some beautiful details including those shoes…… They were to die for and the dress too. We also got to meet all the lovely bridesmaids and Dad, we had already met Mum so all good. We also met Martin the video guy and after an hour shooting we headed back down the M25/M3 to Audleys which thankfully was a lot quieter than it was on Thursday after our Germany trip.
We arrived at Audleys wood wedding venue and found the boys and got some fun shots with them including trying out the scrummy 35 year old Scotch that Dad had saved for the wedding, them trying it not us haha. We then mingled with the guests and waited for our beautiful bride Rosie to arrive and when she did it was in a stretch Limo with all her girls which bearing in mind the distance made sense. A quick chat with the registrars and we were ready to get married. Sue and I took our places and soon Rosie was walking down the isle to her man. The ceremony was nice and quite festive thanks to the tree and I got to play a little with the Baubles for extra festive fun and once over they had the rings blessed by a family friend which added a little to the festivities too.
Afterwards we all spilled out into the reception area which to be honest was more than a little tight. although it was dry and quite warm outside people were happier inside by the log fire, and to be fair who can blame them, We went outside for the family shots as well as couple shots which was nice. Rosie and Sam were great to be with and we had a lot of fun with these.
We then headed into the wedding breakfast and started with speeches which were proper funny, this was a good crowd and a lot of laughs from everyone. After the speeches Sue and I headed off to get some munch and the back ready for the first dance. We captured some fun around the tables and the cake cutting and then straight into the wonderful dance with the best live band I think i have ever worked with which for us topped off a fantastic wedding day.
Thanks Sam and Rosie for a lovely day.
