Corporate days @ Silverstone

We were recently asked to photograph a fun day at Silverstone race track by one of our wedding and newborn clients Tom and although I am used to a slower pace of life we took the opportunity to have some fun and headed up to Silverstone on a beautiful late April day where Tom and his mates were preparing their race bikes for a fun day around the track along with hundreds of other bikers.

We were lucky because we were the photographers to have lots of trackside access so were able to get some amazing photos of the boys clocking up some seriously fast laps, we chose several locations starting at the bottom of the pit straight and then the top of the pit straight to catch them on the bend but then chose a spot near the Silverstone Bridge corner which was a lot of fun and we got to see both thrill’s and spills but thankfully everyone was ok.

Sue and I do all sorts of sports photography as you are probably aware I am a runner and well into my fitness and have my own fitness blog here but we also do cycling and motor racing to name a few and if you need any sports photography wether its for your club or a corporate fun event please let us know and we will work out a favourable quote.

Kai Widdrington selects Michelle Mutuleasa as his new dance partner

Last week we were asked to photograph Kai Widdrington who reached the final of Britain’s Got Talent last year and his new dance partner Michelle Mutuleasa for their upcoming press releases for their management company.

We had so much fun working with Kai and Michelle and look forward to working with them again soon, we love this type of photography because it allows us to get creative on a different level, Sue and I are extremely lucky that we have such a fab studio space and that it allows us to adapt to all sorts of photography including these amazing dance shots.

Kai Widdrington chose Michelle Mutuleasa the 15-year-old, who was born in Ireland to Romanian parents, who has moved her entire family to Eastleigh so that she and Kai can spend every spare minute rehearsing for competitions and shows. Michelle, who has been dancing since she was three, said: “I had seen Kai on Britain’s Got Talent so I knew who he was. and I must say they are fab together.

Their training is now in full swing for the UK Championships in June and various other things in the pipeline, including a possible stage show.

Hampshire corporate photography for Advanced bionics

Its been a very busy week here at Julian Porter Photography and on Tuesday after a fabulous weekend we had a corporate shoot at Southampton University Highfield Campus for Advanced Bionics at the Institute of Sound and Vibration Research Southampton who create the most amazing cochlear implant system.

Sue and I often get asked to do a few photograph’s that people can use for their CV’s (Curriculum Vitae) and because of this we offer a great package which will include your photos (normally around 6-10) emailed to you in high resolution within 24 hours.

Do you need CV photo? Of course, you do. It’s like filling up your profile with everything that it needs. You should not miss out on your photo because it’s one of the most important components of your CV. Without a photo, your CV will not be so attractive.

A profesional photo makes you look professional and the employer can remember you if you insert an image which will help the employer recall you. According to your CV writing service, a CV without a photo doesn’t look appealing enough.

Corporate photos for Kate Preston Hair and Beauty

Last week we were joined by the lovely Kate Preston and her staff for their “meet the team” photos, Sue and I shoot a lot of this sort of corporate work, personally I find it much more interesting than photographing nuts and bolts but then to be fair I am a bit of a girl when all said and done

We did an amazing family shoot for Kate last year which you can see here and we had a lot of fun and we have been chatting about this corporate shoot ever since, We first met Kate through the lovely Steph and Kev when we shot their wedding in Fareham which was a fab day and can be seen here. I just love how our work all mingles together and we get to meet amazing clients lots of whom become lifelong friends which is simply amazing.

Kate wanted some fun, friendly upbeat photos for her “meet the team” photos and I am pleased to say we captured just that, She has such a lovely group of staff that it was hard not to, we took a few of each and send then directly to Kate’s web designers who will update her lovely website soon. They do amazing work and our photos will show off the staff to their full potential.
