Watch me grow shoots by Hampshire photographer Julian porter

Last week we had a wonderful watch me grow shoot with Allie, David, Jonathan and baby Matthew and it was superb. We have already photographed Matthew as an 8 day old newborn which you can see here and they are adorable.  We also did a watch me grow package for Jonathan a few years ago as well as photographing David and Allie’s wedding so we know them all very well, without a doubt this is the best part of our job, watching our families grow:-)

We offer a selection of watch me grow packages as you will see from the links below and like with Allie and David we always take a lovely selection of cherished photos of the whole family.  Both Matthew and Jonathan had only just gotten over chicken pox on our shoot so apart from some careful editing we also had to cope with the gorgeous Matthew not being as smiley as normal but I am sure you will agree that these are adorable photos.

Congratulations to Karen and ChefGary

Last week we met our good friends Gary and Karen for their bump shoot, most of my facebook followers know Gary as ChefGary and if you don’t you need to check him out:-)

Yesterday we photographed their beautiful new Son Robin William Ashley and I cant wait to bring you all the photos, but you will have to wait a few more days:-)

Anyway Gary and Karen came along for their shoot and we had a wonderful time and we are delighted with the photos.

Spring has arrived at Baby jp Newborn photography

I just wanted to share this from our Baby jp website, simple because its adorable:-)

Since the success of our amazing Christmas shoots Sue and I have been working on our next promotion and set of props and we have come up with our beautiful Springtime collection which I am please to say is now ready.

A couple of weeks ago when we photographed Hampshire newborn Kiki (just how adorable is that name) our springtime backdrop had arrived and Pip and Kin saw it and wanted to come back for a shoot using it so yesterday we did this shoot using my favourite prop of all time………..well so far;-)

I am particularly proud of this photo of the beautiful Kiki, Sue and I have wanted a swing for a long time but they all look so “new” or “engineered” but after searching long and hard we found an amazing traditional cabinet maker working out of a crumbling old barn who sourced a couple of slabs of beautiful seasoned quarter sawn oak for us and made us this base for our swing, he also made us another Oak prop that we will reveal on the next shoot.

I am so chuffed with this swing and its made a great addition to our props as will the next couple when we show them off next week. Newborn photography is so much fun but it demands such careful planning with regards to the newborns comfort and safety which is why it suits our studio environment so well, its warm cosy and very safe which is just what you need when photographing little miracles:-)

Check out our lovely newborns

Last week we photographed our second newborn of 2013 and that was the adorable 8 day old Kiki, We spoke to Kiki’s Mummy and Daddy a few months ago and they booked in the shoot on their scheduled week which is always sensible and we were not at all surprised when Kiki made an appearance a week or so earlier than expected:-) It was for us tho perfect timing because we had just finished installing our new amazing lighting system that we purchased just to use on our newborns and babies, no flashes means a more peaceful environment.

We started our shoot with a few of our baskets and then tried our new 1940′s milk crate which looked amazing and then we moved onto a few with big sister Bella and finally a few with the family, all in all it was a perfect shoot, 10 out of 10 without a doubt.
