Nick and Laura May the fourth be with you !

On Star wars day we joined Nick and Laura for their wonderful wedding at the Grand Harbour hotel in Southampton and had the most amazing time. The whole day was filled with lots of laughter, love and amazing dedication to detail which we just LOVED.

We started our day with Laura and 2 of the craziest bridesmaids Helen and Carrie at the Grand Harbour for lots of details and prep shots,  not only did we have the usual shots but we also had Laura’s amazing bouquet that she made herself along with the rest of the details, she is so creative its amazing, there seems to be no end to her creative talents as you will see.  After an hour or so we walked through southampton to the Duke of Wellington pub to meet up with Nick and the lads and our Ring bearer “super hero” Owen who was so much fun through out the whole day.  We took a few fun shots then headed back to Laura who was ready to walk to Southampton Registry office, unfortunately it was super windy but that never put Laura off and we had a lovely walk to the registry,  after a short delay we headed inside and had a lovely service followed by a few photos outside before we headed to the Old Southampton walls for our family photos. Soon it was time to head back to the Grand Harbour for bubbles and then into the wedding breakfast.

After the meal we had the speeches which were a lot of fun and included one from the 2 bridesmaids we mentioned earlier, we then cut the cake then whisked Nick and Laura back outside for some lovely evening portraits and thankfully the wind had died down.  Back inside we soon settled into the first dance at which point we said our good-bye’s.

It was a lovely wedding with a few discreet Star war references including a fancy cake topper and some real cheesy speech references thanks Mark:-) with a fantastic couple and their lovely son Owen.

Thanks everyone for making it a fun day

Jules x

Jacob and Camilla get married at Goodwood House

Last weekend we joined Japp and Camilla for their wedding at Goodwood House which is an amazing venue , Glorious Goodwood in fact:-) We started our day with Camilla at her home in Easebourne Nr Midhurst for some lovely relaxed preparation and detail shots, the house was a frenzy with Camilla and Mum and the girls all speaking a very confusing Italian:-) we had so much fun.   After Camilla had stepped into her amazing wedding dress Sue and I headed off to the local Church St Mary’s in Easebourne where we were greeted with a mixture of heavy rain and sunshine, yeah typical spring day here,  We took a few shots of Japp and the boys as well as the guests arriving and then introduced ourselves to the lovely Vicar who was so obliging,  Camilla then arrived in  the very swanky Goodwood Rolls Royce and looked simply stunning walking into the church.   Camilla then walking into a silenced church with a very excited groom waiting for her, we had a lovely ceremony and as Japp and Camilla walked out of the church the heavens opened which although inconvenient timing it did make for the most amazing photos not that I am selfish you understand:-)

Because of the rain we headed straight off to Goodwood House where Sue and I almost kept up with the Roller !  Boy that thing can move,Whilst we waited for guests to arrive we took advantage of a little dry spell and took Japp and Camilla for a few portraits around the grounds where they were greeted by there lovely little doggie Tweed who was just a tad excited to see them. We then headed back to the guests who were now tucked up inside keeping warm and out of the rain, We spent the next hour or so taking some relaxed photos of the guests and wedding party enjoying themselves as well as a few family groups before being called in for a very scrumy dinner, We had some real fun speeches in-between each course and then afterwards cake cutting.

Then as promised the fun really started and the party kicked off, we had so much fun with all the dancing, drinking and singing, the guests not us:-)

Sue and I brought our associate Joanne along because this was a large wedding so Thanks JoJo.  We had such a fun day and would like to thank both families for your patience whilst we tried to overcome the language barrier.

I hope you enjoy this slideshow of photos.

Jules x

Andy and Kimberley get married at Rivervale Barn

On what was a very cold and snowy Easter weekend we joined Kimberley and Andy for their wedding on the Saturday which was help at the lovely Rivervale Barn in Yately Nr Camberley,  Sue and I are very lucky in that we travel all around the UK photographing amazing weddings and one of our favourite venues of late has been Rivervale Barn, the light is amazing the grounds are just beautiful and together this makes for the most amazing wedding venue.

We started our day with Kimberley and the girls in the preparation bedroom for some lovely relaxed detail shots as well as Kimberley stepping into her beautiful wedding dress.  We then met with Andy and the boys, Andy, Andy, Andy and Liam,  yeah it was confusing:-) It was not too long before the harpist started playing and we were led into the ceremony room, First the bridesmaids and then our beautiful bride who looked simply breathtaking. As her Daddy walked her slowly down the isle she never once broke her gaze from Andy, it was so romantic and the silenced room just watched and watched.  After a lovely ceremony we headed back into the main barn for drinks and nibbles and then out into the chilly courtyard for family photos which we finished pretty smartish:-)

We then took Andy and Kimberley out into the gardens for some portraits where it was just starting to snow,  can you believe it Snow at Easter !!! thankfully it never came of anything and after a few lovely and very well planned portraits we headed back into the warn and into the beautifully decorated wedding breakfast. After a wonderful wedding breakfast and some rather emotional speeches we setup our Funtime fotos which is our wedding photo booth and we started the fun:-) we broke away to photograph the cake cutting which was a selection of lovely cupcakes and a top tier of lovelyness all covered in the most amazing sugar flowers. Then out to the Band for the first dance then back for the last hour to finish our Funtime before Sue and I said our goodbyes and headed off home after a very long but so much fun wedding day.

It would be wrong if I never game a massive shout out to everyone for making the day so much fun but none more that Andy and Kimberley,  cold and snowy goes so well with those warm and wonderful smiles.  Thank you X

Hampshire wedding photography Ben and Zoe get married

On Saturday we joined Ben and Zoe for our first wedding of the year and it was the perfect start, the wedding was at Lainston House in Winchester which is a lovely local venue and suits our British weather:-) thats a nice way of saying its fab in the rain:-) which to be fair is a good idea because for the most part it was a shocking day although we had pockets of sunshine which we all made the most of.

Ben and Zoe are a lovely couple and as we often do Sue and I just knew the wedding would be fab, both Doctor’s and both with killer smiles its difficult not to love them, We started our day with Zoe in the bridal suite with mum and the girls and it was a real good fun filled and champagne fuelled pre wedding party, we then went outside to meet with Ben and his 2  best men for a few relaxed photos in the grounds and of course the details.  We then moved back to Zoe for final dressing and walking to the wedding ceremony which was a candle lit romantic barn, as Zoe walked in with her Dad there was a gasp of excitement and all eyes towards her Ben’s included and she looked absolutely stunning in her Jenny Packam dress and shoes flanked by a very proud dad.  The ceremony was beautiful with a couple of nice readings then outside for 5 minutes for a few photos before the rain came back,  After 30 minutes chatting and drinking we headed into the fireplace area for family groups as well as a few important family members on the beautiful stairs before we again headed outside for a few portraits,  we had so much fun dodging the showers and it made for very dramatic and  beautiful photos.  We then headed back inside before the everyone shot on the front grass whilst it rained and then into the beautifully decorated barn for dinner.  After dinner we had some lovely and very emotional speeches and thats when Sue and I finished what was a fantastic start to our 2013 wedding season.

We would like to thank Amy and Jarred who’s wedding we shot last year for recommending us and everyone at the wedding for a great day.

Ben and Zoe,  you guys were amazing, we had such a fab day and this wedding will be hard to beat this year.

Have a wonderful Honeymoon

Jules and Sue xx

Hampshire wedding photographer – John and Natalie get married at Bartley Lodge

On Saturday we joined John and Natalie for our second wedding of this weekend which took place at St Johns church in Rownhams and then on to The Bartley Lodge Hotel in the New Forest. The Bartley Lodge Hotel’s beautiful landscaped grounds are the perfect setting for photographs and we are very fortunate to photograph lots of lovely weddings there every year and in fact are about to place one of our beautiful Jorgensen albums there too.

We started our day with Natalie at her parents bungalow in Rownhams for some lovely prep shots and of course to get to know the family a little better before we headed off to the church which was only a few moments away in Horns drove,  we spent a little while at the church chatting to the vicar (another Julian) and then met with John when he arrived along with the boys and a few family members.

It was not long before Natalie arrived looking amazing in her beautiful dress and walked into the church, a lovely service followed as it always does at Rownhams and Sue and I did our thing throughout:-) Sue from the back and me up in the balcony.

After the service and a few minutes outside we headed the 15 minutes to the Bartley Lodge for the reception drinks,  well we had a lovely time taking John and Natalie off for a few portraits in the Sunshine and then some very fun and lively family groups and then I spent a while shooting the reportage side whilst Sue grabbed a few details of the day.

We were soon shown into dinner and then speeches which were fab, lots of laughter and tears and once again this is where Sue and I left John and Natalie to enjoy their evening,  Our smaller package which finishes at the meal or speeches if before dinner is very popular this year and especially so at Bartley Lodge.

All in all it was a fab sunny wedding and we look forward to seeing John and Natalie again soon

Jules
