Jack and Vicki star in love actually

Our wedding this weekend was again at Parley Manor but on Monday with Jack and Vicki, Vicki manages a pub so Monday was the perfect choice for their big day and what a day it was….

We started the day at the Hilton in Bournemouth for a few fun preparation shots with Vicki and the girls and I could already tell it was going to be an emotional one. Lots of details and preps before Sue and I left and headed off to Parley Manor a few miles away. Once there we had a light lunch and a coffee before the boys arrived and then we cracked on wit the boys photos. A while later Vicki and the bridesmaids arrived and a littler later than planned we all walked the few hundred feet to the beautiful ceremony room which was filled to bursting with excited family and friends, quite a few we knew very well including the lovely Matty and Amy who’s wedding we photographed at the The Barn 🙂  The ceremony was brief but enjoyable and then outside into the sunshine for drinks and photos. We were at this point struggling for time, Parly were not being helpful and I hat having to rush our couples but its important to get the photos for both them and us.  We managed to keep pace and even catch up a little before they were called into the wedding breakfast.

After the meal we did speeches and the first up was Vicki’s Dad. Well OMG that was pretty emotional and had the whole room standing, clapping, crying and laughing. From a famous scheme from Love Actually he had a series of cards explaining his awesome relationship with Vicki and Jack, JUST AMAZING

After the speeches we spilled out onto the lawn again for more drinks and fun and Sue and I made the most of this time to grab some more photos until eventually it got colder and we all headed inside f0r the cake cutting and into first dance.

Just an awesome wedding with a great bunch of people. lots of love, life and laughter which are the key ingredients for life.

Thanks guys, we loved it X

Josh and Karina at Trafalgar Park

On Saturday we joined Josh and Karina for their wedding day at Trafalgar Park in Wiltshire which also happened to be our first and very probably our last visit there too because its being sold and no more weddings.

Josh and Karina met at School in year 9 and have been together ever since. They are a proper loved up couple and it was lovely to see 🙂 such a beautiful young family and a great future ahead of themselves.

We started our day at Trafalgar Park when Karina and the girls arrived all made up ready for the final prep of dress fitting so we never got the usual array of shots but did manage a few details in the franticness if it all.

We then saw Josh for a couple of shots before we were litetrally rushed down to the ceremony which I personally thought was unnecessary but hey ho who am I !! after the ceremony we had the perfect break in the storms and headed outside for 90 minutes and got some beautiful photos of family and friends and then Josh and Karina alone which are beautiful as well as drinkies and canapés.

We then headed inside for the wedding breakfast followed by speeches and more drinking, lots more drinking haha.

The evening was a little different, They had a photo booth (not ours) and a jukebox so no Dj this was a fun idea but mixed reviews about the music which I guess is inevitable without direction.

We cut the cake, danced and Sue and I headed off after a great day with Josh and Karina and their lovely friends.

Trafalgar Park was once a beautiful wedding venue and I am sure could be again but I very much doubt it. Such a shame to loose this place so local too.

Allan and Jessica Tie the knot………..again

On Saturday we joined Allan and Jessica at Shepparton Studios in London for their wedding day, well actually they have already been married a year so this was more a celebration of their wedding day for all the family and friends to join and help celebrate and what better place for a couple of game designers than Pinewood studios or Shepparton as its called now.

We started our day with Jessica in a local hotel for a few prep shots but the room was tiny and with 2 videographers who loved there video lights it was hot and cramped so we headed off to the studios to see Allan and the guests arrive.

The day was glorious and the guests were quite happy in the gardens waiting for the beautiful Jessica to arrive, Once she did we walking into the ceremony room for a brief friendly service before once again heading to the gardens for photos and drinkies.

We then took Jessica and Allan off for a walk and some photos before heading into dinner and speeches. 5 Speeches in all and Grandads was my absolute fav 🙂

After the speeches it was desert and coffee before we settled into the 1st dance and Sue and I headed off home.

Such a lovely day and I am sure they will remember it fondly forever.

Greg and Janet get married

On Sunday we joined Greg and Janet for our second wedding of the week at the beautiful Ashdown Park hotel in Sussex. We both know Janet and Greg from our running and because of that it was like a family wedding for us with lots of our friends in attendance.

We started our day by leaving hone at 6am to arrive in time for breakfast at the Ashdown Park hotel before heading up to the bridal suite to see Janet and the girls getting ready. Todays wedding was a 1930’s themed wedding so details were plenty as was the fun and giggles 🙂 we spent a couple of hours with the girls and also with Greg and the best man Luke. We also did a few family portraits before the wedding, because we travelled it made sense to use our time so we offered this and it was quite popular  with couples and families especially those that dressed to the theme.

We then headed down to the beautiful ceremony and into the waiting guests. The ceremony was beautiful and I especially loved the reading from Nikki which brought a few tears on.  Afterwards we all spilled out onto the lawns and to the summer house for drinks and canapĂ©s and to be entertained by a 30’s jazz group whilst Sue and I took photos and enjoyed the afternoon.  The grounds of Ashdown Park are truly beautiful so we were spoilt for choice and Janet and Greg were very obliging just as I expected.  A couple of short hours later we were called into dinner and again it was beautifully themed.  After dinner we had the speeches and then an extra gift/favour was brought to our tables which was as well as the beautiful bespoke personalised Oscar everybody had. The details and treats just kept coming.

Afterwards we all headed downstairs for coffee and then outside to enjoy the evening sun whilst the staff prepared for the party.  The evening was just superb starting with the father-daughter dance but followed by 30 minutes of real fun music to get the evening going for the children and of course adults.

We then did the first dance, A live version of the “Jungle Books”  I wanna be like you….. This was absolutely amazing and I loved eery minute of it, such a fab way to start the evening properly and end it for Sue and I. We headed home and uploaded the photos before heading to bed 16 hours after we left 🙂

An amazing day with amazing people and a truly beautiful venue. Janet and Greg thank you for allowing us to be part of your big day it was awesome XX

Rachel and Christian get married at Skylark Meadows

On Thursday we joined Rachel and Christian for their beautiful wedding at the Skylark Golf and country club at Skylark Meadows in Fareham for what was the hottest day of the year so far and a perfect way to start the holiday weekend.

We started our day in the nearby Solent Hotel which is another wedding venue for preparations with Rachel and the bridesmaids and had a great hour capturing the girls getting nervous and lots of beautiful details as well as the lovely moment Rachel’s mum and dad arrived before we headed off up the road to Skylark Meadows.

Skylark Meadows is a new wedding venue for us but we have 4 weddings booked this year so I am sure we will get to know it very well as the season goes on. We met with Christian and the boys for a few photos and then as the guests filtered into the beautiful barn I hear the Bentley arriving with Rachel and her dad. I was greeted with the best smile from our gorgeous bride and this smile never left her all day.

Rachel walked into the barn looking amazing to a hushed room and down to her very nervous Christian. Rachel and Christian were then married in a beautiful ceremony interrupted only by beams of sunlight which was just amazing. Afterwards we left the barn for a small area outside which is used for hugs and kisses and family groups. This was the only let down for such a beautiful venue which could in fact be perfect if only they had another space allocated for this.  But after the family groups we were all invited over to the main building for drinks and nibbles.

After this Sue and I took Rachel and Christian off on a couple of golf buggies to get some shots around the course and boundaries which were lovely and will help to make this a beautiful wedding album. Despite the threat of Adders I am pleased to say we all made it back safely 🙂 The grounds are just splendid.

Back into the main building and a few details before dinner. After the wedding meal we had the speeches which were short and sharp but 6 of them so very entertaining indeed. Lots of drinking, eating and laughing later we setup our Funtime Foto’s for an hour of dress up whilst we waited for the evening guests and eventually cake cutting and first dance.

As I said it was our first wedding at Skylark and the staff were absolutely amazing and could not have been more helpful, Shame about the “group photo” positioning but hey ho if you book your wedding here they will apparently make you aware of this although Rachel and Christian were not 🙂 overall its a very nice venue and I look forward to the next one in a few weeks.

Rachel and Christian had the most amazing day and Sue and I loved every minute of it so thank you guys you were just awesome X
