Jamie, Chloe and “the list”……..

Our friends Chloe and Jamie got married yesterday and it was an honour once again to be a part of such an amazing wedding. Chloe and Jamie are a big part of the “Piller” clan and we have known them for quite a few years as part of that group of friends, meeting them at dozens of wedding so it was another pretty special day for us as well as all of them too.

We started out day at Warbrook House in Surrey with Chloe and the girls for a couple of hours of very relaxed preparation shots including what was probably my favourite dress of the year, Lots of laughing and lots of tears was a great start to the day. We then moved on to Jamie and the boys including our very good friend Ben who was best man again.  After the boys we headed back to capture the dress shots with Chloe and to get ready to walk down the isle with her Dad.

The ceremony was just brilliant and the registrars made it perfect, so nice when they really throw themselves into their work and enjoy it. Afterwards we all spilled out onto the lawns for the afternoon which was just lovely, it was a little nippy but dry so no complaints. After 30 minutes of relaxed photos and an ice cream from the traditional cart we started on “the list” haha Chloe had said right from the start that she was very keen on formal shots but she also allowed plenty of time which is often a tradeoff so although we had a running joke going it was great fun and good banter kept everyone smiling.

Afterwards we headed off in the golf buggy for some shots and I have to say Chloe you surprised me, she was amazing and did just about everything I suggested including barefoot walking in the woods to climb a tree, Ok that sounds worse than it was haha. We then took a few more photos in the grounds before heading back for the big group photo and dinnertime.

The speeches were first and Dads was your typical Dads speech 🙂 then Jamie started and there were tears and then Ben started and honestly gave the best speech I have ever heard and I kid you not most of the room were crying including surprise surprise Sue.

After the wedding breakfast it was the cake cutting and into the first dance which for us drew the day to a close for us but the rest of the wedding were in for a fun night.  It was great to see all our lovely friends again and enjoy yet another wedding with them all. We photographed 5 couples from yesterdays wedding and we truly did feel awesome about that.

Thanks everyone for a wonderful wedding and lots of great chats X

Simon and Tracy and lots of wonderful children

Last year we had a call from Tracy who along with Simon are Foster parents asking for a photoshoot so they could include 2 wonderful children before they were housed permanently. I remember the shoot well and to be honest it was quite emotional talking to them all.

On Saturday we Photographed Simon and Tracy’s wedding day at the beautiful Rownhams House and it was just as I would have expected and pretty damn perfect as celebrations go.

Simon and Tracy only wanted a relaxed wedding day including the children and there loved ones and it was amazing. We started our day unusually at the venue as Tracy arrived and from the on in the day was a whirlwind of fun and laughter. Children were everywhere and so much laughter it was heartwarming.  At one point Jean the Maid of Honour told me that a good percentage of the kids there were fostered or adopted and I never would have guessed, We have photographed hundreds of weddings but honestly none compared to this one when it came to the children, what seemed like dozens of them having an awesome time BUT all 100% very well behaved. incredible parenting I take my hat off to you all, WONDERFUL PEOPLE.

One little lad who I wont name really got to me, He suffered from several nasty life changing things including cerebral palsy 🙁 but he was the most energetic happy and well behaved little boy I have seen in a long time. Its true to say I am a people person but this little lad melted my heart, I would have taken him home tomorrow 🙂

Anyways, the wedding day was awesome, great ceremony and time out on the lawns, the family groups were interesting I was being attacked the whole time by foam rockets 🙂

The speeches interesting thanks Taff 🙂 and then the evening dancing,  I know I whisked through all that but the children stole the show today and I don’t mean attention wise. they were simply awesome.

Tracy you looks lovely and a wonderful bride. Thank you so much for having Sue and I at your wedding day, I will never forget it.

X

Catherine and Tom get married

On Friday we joined Catherine and Tom for their wedding at the beautiful Clock Barn in Andover for once again what turned out to me a much sunnier day than expected, I swear we have the weather gods on our side at the moment :-).

We started our day with Catherine at Mums house in Weyhill for some prep details and a few portraits in the garden once she was dressed before we headed off to the church a few miles away for the ceremony. Once parked we chatted to the priest who was great and met with Tom and the boys for a few photos as well as a few shots of the guests enjoying the sunshine, at this stage I was still unsure how long the sun would last so fully intended to make the most of it 🙂  The ushers called everyone into church and Catherine arrived shortly afterwards in a non assuming car driven by her Dad very proudly. Sue and I took our allowed spot up on the balcony and photographed the lovely relaxed ceremony.

Outside afterwards we led straight into confetti and hugs and kisses which was lovely in the sunshine before we headed off to the Clock Barn this time in a car driven by Tom’s Dad 🙂  The barn as always looked gorgeous and we had some fun with metals and guest as they arrived before we got onto the family groups and portraiture which we did over in the natural fields and it was just perfect.

We then headed into dinner and speeches and honestly all 3 speeches were amazing, very loving, touching speeches such a rarity that all 3 are great.

After the meal we took Catherine and Tom for a couple more photos that were requested before cake cutting with a huge sword and then the first dance.

Sue and I then left after what had been a beautiful summer wedding with lovely caring people.

Paul and Sue at Highcliffe Castle

Last weekend we joined Sue and Paul for their wedding day at Highcliffe castle and we had a lovely day in the perfect surroundings. Highcliffe Castle is a regular venue for us and I love it, perfect ceremony room and grounds and if we are the last wedding and stay all day then the formal rooms are also pretty special too.

We started our day with Sue and the girls at home for some prep before heading to Highcliffe castle to meet with Paul and the boys as well as the other guests as they arrived. We got some nice relaxed photos of everyone enjoying the sunshine waiting for our bride to arrive and soon enough she did in a beautiful Beauford car. We dis a few shots at the entrance of the castle and then drove around to the ceremony and into the waiting guests.

The ceremony was interesting, Paul’s dad stood up for a reading and gave a full, frank and very funny 10 minute speech which was brilliant and made the whole thing very personal.

After the ceremony we spilled out into the sunshine to enjoy bubbles and photos as Sue and Paul went for a drive, A few family groups and some portraits and it was time for dinner and for us to setup our funtime booth which was very popular between the meal finishing and then into the dancing.

Another great Highcliffe castle wedding and another fab weekend.

Thanks Paul and Sue for a lovely day.
