Hampshire wedding photographer – George and Hannah get married in stockbridge

On Saturday we joined George and Hannah for our first wedding of the weekend.  We met George and Hanna when we photographed George’s sister Holly’s wedding 3 years ago which was at the same lovely location “Tick tock and Grumpy’s” house (mum and dad)  Here is Holly and Karls blog post, you will see a few similarities although like always this was a very unique wedding. If you want to refer a friend please  click here!

We started our day with Hannah who I must say was our most smily bride ever 🙂  lots of smiles from start to finish, we had an hour or so for preps in a local house in Stockbridge where Hannah was getting ready, we already knew Hannah’s family from the earlier wedding so the whole thing was very friendly but soon it was time to head to the boot to meet with george and the boys,  again we knew most of George’s family so it was like being greeted by old pals which is just what we like,  We had a few photos at the boot inn before heading up the short hill to the beautifully secluded church to await our beautiful brides entrance,  Whilst waiting we got some lovely relaxed photos of everyone including a very happy George who was patiently waiting for his love of 9 years to arrive.

Hannah arrived with her dad and she looked amazing, the whole church fell silent as she walked in and the atmosphere was amazing,  then the ceremony, well the photos say it all and Hannah and George were married amidst a fanfare or smiles, laughter and rapturous applause from the 100 or so guests then led outside into the sunshine for hugs, kisses and confetti before heading back to the house and sensational gardens with a beautiful marquee for an afternoon of bubbles, nibbles and smiles along with a few photos, a magician, live music, a couple of dogs and 100 or so very happy and content wedding goers 🙂

We the went into dinner for speeches first which were fun, Dad chatting about Hannah’s apparently legendary Piano skills and George of how he met the love of his life 9 years ago then Best man Stuart finishing with a few laughs, then dinner, cake cutting and back out to enjoy the gardens.

Later as the evening went on we took a few fun shots and then moved back into the first dance which was great but sadly where Sue and I had to say our goodbye’s but we left with  happy heart’s knowing that we had been part of another amazing wedding day for a couple to outstanding families and we had taken some superb photos too 🙂

Once again during this dreadful June I am pleased to say they the weather gods were on our side, we had beautiful sunshine and blue skies all day long so no complaints here thank you.

It was lovely to see so many of you all again, thank you for the kind words and laughter and memories, Holly and karl and of course Harry it was lovely to see you again,  Tick Tock and Grumpy thank you for looking after us as if we were family 🙂  and Hannah and George we owe you the biggest thank you of all for being the most amazing couple and for making us smile all day long and thank you so much for the bubbles, we shall enjoy them on our day off this week and raise a glass to you both.

Much love to you all

Jules and Sue.

Adrian and Sarah get married at Burcombe manor in Pink !

Well almost pink 🙂  Pink was definitely a strong theme and it worked very well, I loved all the details and most were hand made which made them all the more special, I expecially loved the pink wellies :-).

Our second wedding this weekend saw us in Wiltshire where we joined Adrian and Sarah for their wedding which started at their local church and ended at Burcombe manor which is in Burcombe nr Salisbury.

We started our day at Sarah’s parents house in a lovely sunny conservatory for some relaxed prep shots, When Sue and I arrived at an earth shattering 09:30 am 🙂 Sarah was already having her hair and makeup done so we settled in with a few flower shots and ring shots whist listening to Mums parrot chatting away in the background, we had some fun photographing Sarah’s details which were all amazing and especially her pink shoes,  after a couple of hours we left to drive across Salisbury to meet Adrian at the church for a walk across the fields and of course a few church arrival shots.  Soon it was time for Sarah to arrive and arrive she did in style,  She arrived in a beautiful Model T ford which was and is my favourite bridal car of all time, it was a joy to photograph and to follow albeit at 25 MPH 🙂

After a wonderful ceremony we did a few quick confetti and car shots and then we headed off towards Burcombe Manor but we had a couple of stops planned en-route,  Initially we had planned to stop at the river for a few shots but on the way to the church Sue and I spotted a field full of beautiful blue Flax seed flowers so we asked Adrian and Sarah if they would mind stopping there too, like every suggestion they agreed * thanks guys * so off we went to the fields, Without a thought Sarah jumped over the rickety old 5 bar gate in her wedding gown and ran across to the flowers, I jumped over too but my favourite and the best shot was taken by Sue from the fence (but don’t tell her that)…….  We then headed off to the river where the local farmer let me use his field to grab a few shots over the river and I am so grateful he did.

We then headed back to Burcombe Manor where we met our pal, Toastmaster Mike Judd who helped us with a few family groups for the afternoon,  after a couple of hours on the lawns we had a storm so whilst the guests headed for the shelter of the marque, Sarah grabbed her Pink Wellies and our brollie and headed off for more fun photos, I swear she is crazy 🙂  we had so much fun in the rain and I am so pleased she and Adrian wanted to make the most of their day whatever the weather !

We then headed into dinner and speeches and then after dinner a few more friends portraits before the dancing started, first a couple of traditional first dances and then a fun filled barn dance.

It was another fantastic weekend with great parents, great guests and an awesome couple, Thanks guys you were all so much fun and yes I think you might just have made the website 🙂

Have an amazing honeymoon and see you soon.

Craig and Helen

On Saturday we joined Craig and Helen in Somerset for their dream wedding,  Sue and I headed off to Somerset about 8am on a wet and blustery saturday morning with visions of yet another August washout day but with the comfort of knowing that we both produce our best work when we are placed outside of our comfort zone and Saturday would be no different, Craig is an Australian Navy Pilot so we knew he would be ok no matter what the weather did, and after speaking to Helen last week she made it quite clear that her beautiful wedding dress and shoes were only going to be worn once so “lets go for it”

We started our day at Helens parents house which overlooked the beautiful church of  chisselborough, after a couple of hours and a few very relaxed preperation photos we headed off to the local pub to meet a very nervous Craig with the lads, incidentally it was in this very pub 3 years ago that Craig and Helen met,  We then headed off to the church to meet the vicar and await Helens arrival.

Helen arrived in an old Jag looking spectacular  and walked into a packed church and into a beautiful ceremony,

After the ceremony we did a few group shots at the church because the weather had taken a turn for the better and had stopped raining. This also meant that Craig and Helen could carry on a “village” tradition of walking from the beautiful church back to the parents home which in this case was also the venue and home to a beautiful marquee.

We had an amazing wedding breakfast and speeches and the the music kicked off which was our time to leave,  it was great to see our old pals Geoge and Becky at the wedding as well as a few of there guests,

Thanks so much for looking after us guys.

Jules x

Alex and Julia get married @ The Norte Dame School in Cobham

On Saturday we joined Alex and Julia for there lovely wedding at the Nortre Dame School in Cobham which was a vvery special place for them both.  Julia had gone to school there.  We started our day with Julia at home before heading off to see Alex and the boys prior to the service,

The service took place in the School Chappel led by the Arch Bishop, the service was very mooving and as the service ended a clap of thunder signifield the opening of the heavens 🙂   fortunatkly after a 30 minute indoor reception we were able to go outside to do the family groups and then headed into a wonderful dinner, although to be fair, Sue and I were sat in the “mad” table 🙂

later the dancing started and Sue and I headed off home, Exausted but very happy after a wonderful wedding
