On Saturday we joined Joe and Abi for their amazing wedding day. As always our day started with Abi and the girls for some prep shots which took place at the beautiful Pennyhill park, we arrived early because this was going to be a very long day and Sue and I did not want to miss anything nor did we want to rush around all day, So we arrived at around 9:30 and met the girls as well as Paul the hairdresser, we had a lot of fun shooting the details and of course Abi getting ready and at about 10:45 we headed off to Sandhurst where the wedding was taking place. After arriving at the guardhouse, meeting Joe and thankfully being shown straight in we started with the boys (and girl) all looking great in their uniforms, we had Army, Navy and RAF so lots of shiny buttons and medals, we also had the 2 best men John and Joe. After the mandatory Port drinking, Abi arrived with her father looking sensational and we went into the beautiful church for an amazing ceremony, I was able to shoot from the front balcony and Sue from the back.
After the ceremony we had the guard of honour followed by a few photos then we were whisked off to Minley Manor which is where the reception was held, again we went straight through the guardhouse which was nice and into the gardens for lots of fun photos, we did a few more family groups, took Abi and Joe for a walk and did lots of portraits with the various family members all of which were so much fun, We then went into the wedding breakfast and eventually speeches, the speeches were outstanding, the first Bestman Joe did a great speech and had everyone laughing then the second bestman appeared wearing a scout uniform, he said, “well everyone else wore there uniforms” lol it was so much fun.
We then took Abi and Joe off for a few more photos and mingled until the first dance which was fun and then we did a few evening shots, Our friend and fellow photographer Clare Harvey who’s wedding we shot at Minley some years ago mentioned to me that Minley looks great at night so Thanks Clare
Then at about 11pm the fireworks arrived, this was our longest wedding ever but I would not have missed a minute of it
First and foremost a massive THANKS

This wedding had lots of children, each and everyone were so well behaved and polite, such a great bunch.
Our military weddings always go well but Joe Rawlinson (best man, Navy dude and all round good guy) you deserve a shout out
