On Sunday we joined Rob and Vicky for their wedding at Forest Lodge in the New Forest on what turned out to be an amazing summer’s day. Vicky’s step dad Gary is my cousin so we knew quite a few people here so it made the whole day a lot more relaxed for us, We started out day with Vicky at the lovely Forest Lodge which is nestled just inside Lyndhurst in the New Forest, we arrived a good couple of hours early because the traffic in the new forest has been awful lately and Lyndhurst is a bottle neck at the best of times :-). Anyway back to our beautiful bride…..
We spent a couple of hours dipping in and out of the Bridal suite at Forest Lodge so we got some lovely relaxed preparation photos including Vicky’s All Start Converse trainers, hows that for 2 weddings in a row 🙂 as well as lots of lovely details and we carried on until Rob arrived with Rob the best man, yes this was going to get confusing haha, we took the 2 Robs over to the forest for a few natural photos and then made our way back to Vicky who was ready to get dressed in her beautiful bridal gown, we soon were on our way into the ceremony and I kid you now there was a VERY LOUD ” WOW” when Vicky entered the room, I know I use the word stunning a lot but Vicky truly stunned her family and friends and of course her Rob 🙂
After a lovely ceremony we headed out onto the decking for drinks and photos and a few lovely portraits before being called into dinner, The wedding breakfast was a very yummy roast hog and Sue and I were sat on a table with Gary and his family so had a lot of fun, after diner a few quick speeches then everyone was back outside to enjoy the evening sun, Sue and I took Vicky and Rob into the New Forest for a walk with the ponies and watched the sun go down.
We returned just in time for the first dance with DJ Ashley Riggs who incidentally is the DJ that Sue and I always highly recommend, check him out here ! if you ever see him you will understand why we love him.
After the first dance Sue and I headed off home, we are away this week so lots to do before we go but we leave knowing that we had the most amazing day with Rob and Vicky.
Thanks guys, you were AMAZING XX
